Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Director of People Connections to shape the People & Culture vision across the organization. You will lead communications and activation for the Chief People & Culture Officer and PCLT, driving engagement and aligning messaging with enterprise priorities.

In this role, you will translate complex priorities into clear, compelling content, partner with executive HR and enterprise leaders, and oversee internal communications—talking points, speeches, newsletters, and leader

Qualifications

• 8+ years of strategic communications experience with focus on internal or HR communications
• Experience advising senior executives and partnering with cross-functional leaders across HR, Legal, Operations, and Marketing
• Proven ability to translate priorities into clear, engaging content and programs
• Enterprise mindset with ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations
• Strong writing, storytelling, and executive communication skills
• Willingness to travel as needed, with flexibility for weather/road conditions

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the People & Culture communications and activation strategy aligned with priorities
• Develop and execute annual communications and executive visibility plans for the P&CO and PCLT
• Partner across People & Culture to align messaging and activation with enterprise goals
• Advise senior leaders on messaging for initiatives, change, M&A, and brand evolution
• Lead communications for large-scale transformation initiatives and workforce programs
• Translate complex priorities into clear content for leadership accountability
• Lead writing/production for internal comms (speeches, newsletters, presentations)
• Create a library of stories to celebrate teams and reinforce a unified message
