Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Director of People Connections to shape how People & Culture vision comes to life across the organization. You will lead communications and activation for the Chief People & Culture Officer and the PCLT, delivering a connected teammate experience in a complex system.

You will move between enterprise strategy and hands-on execution, creating a consistent teammate experience with measurable impact and executive visibility. Remote-friendly role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of strategic communications experience, with emphasis on internal or HR communications, change management, or employee engagement.
• Demonstrated experience advising senior executives and partnering with cross-functional leaders across HR, Legal, Operations, and Marketing.
• Enterprise mindset and ability to operate across complex, matrixed systems.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
• Strong consultative and advisory presence with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the People & Culture communications and activation strategy aligned with priorities and vision.
• Develop and execute the annual communications, engagement, and executive visibility plan for senior leaders.
• Partner across People & Culture to align messaging and activation with enterprise goals.
• Advise executives on messaging for teammate initiatives, organizational change, and operating model evolution.
• Lead communications for large-scale transformation, integrations, and workforce initiatives.
• Translate priorities into clear, compelling content for leadership accountability and teammate understanding.
• Serve as lead writer and producer for internal communications, including talking points, speeches, newsletters, and presentations.
• Create a library of stories celebrating teams and reinforcing a unified message across the function.
