Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, business administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and controls payroll preparation and production, including regular, special, and supplemental payrolls.
  • Develops and implements payroll procedures to ensure timely processing of payroll and the payment of benefits and deductions.
  • Develops and enters payroll calendars to define pay periods and paydays.
  • Ensures accuracy of payroll data input and calculations, balancing each payroll prior to check disbursement.
  • Coordinates payroll operations with other accounting and data processing units and tests procedures.
  • Plans, coordinates and executes payroll projects and initiatives.
  • Interfaces with administrators and staff regarding payroll-related issues and maintains auditable records.
