Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or inpatient related field in a hospital/healthcare setting.
• Completion of patient safety curriculum within 1 year of hire date (ASHRM, NPSF, AHA, IHI, or equivalent).
• Minimum experience: 7 years combined experience in clinical practice, management or administration in healthcare; 5 years direct patient care and 3 years in Quality/Risk/Patient Safety.
• Preferred experience: 5 years of facilitation of performance improvement programs.

• Lead the market-wide patient safety program and drive initiatives to reduce medical errors and adverse outcomes.
• Coordinate safety assessments and the activities of the patient safety function/committee; educate on system-based causes of errors.
• Consult with management and staff and communicate evidence-based patient safety strategies to the organization.
