Job summary

The Town of Palm Beach seeks a Park Crew Foreman to lead daily operations at Phipps Ocean Park and surrounding facilities. You will supervise park attendants, ensure safety standards, and maintain public spaces for residents and visitors.

You will coordinate with the Preservation Foundation and contractors, manage equipment, and respond to park incidents, emergencies, and inquiries with professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus 3 years in park maintenance or public works, with at least 1 year in a lead role.
• Experience handling public interactions and code/rule enforcement in a park setting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, schedules, and directs daily activities of park staff to meet safety and aesthetic standards.
• Interacts with residents and visitors to address inquiries and service requests professionally.
• Monitors park usage and enforces rules and permits; collaborates with code enforcement when needed.
• Responds to on-site incidents and provides problem-solving for park operations.
• Coordinates with Golf Course Superintendent and Preservation Foundation for multi-facility projects.
• Oversees maintenance of park facilities, paths, equipment, and waste/logistics with Public Works.
• Oversees landscape maintenance contracts and liaison with vendors; assists with light cleanup between vendor visits.
• Manages heavy equipment operation safely and supports storm preparedness and post-storm debris removal.
