Oxford Park Commission is seeking an Executive Director to oversee operations, lead staff, and drive strategic growth across programs and facilities in Oxford, MS.

The role requires strong financial stewardship, grant management, and effective communication with the Board, city officials, and the community. You will shape policy, promote recreation initiatives, and ensure safety and compliance across all departments.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Leisure Management, Public Administration, or related field.
• Preference for Parks and Recreation professional accreditation/certificates.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in parks or recreation settings.

Mansioni

• Lead the Park Commission and supervise staff in planning and delivering year-round programs.
• Develop and manage multiple annual budgets and oversee expenditures.
• Oversee planning, development, and promotion of recreation programs and events.
• Coordinate across divisions to ensure staff cooperation and program success.
• Provide leadership to the Park Commission Board, city officials, staff, and the community on policies and procedures.
• Oversee marketing, publicity, website, and social media strategies.
• Prepare and present reports to governing bodies and stakeholders.
• Represent the commission at state and national conferences.
