Job summary

Alpha School is hiring a Parent Relations Director to lead the parent-facing arm of campus leadership. You will own trust, retention, and advocacy of families, guiding conversations, and aligning with Guides to support students.

Live within commuting distance to one of the campuses; on-site, full-time. Compensation is $200,000 per year for most campuses, with Park City at $250,000. Relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years owning high-trust relationships with families, clients, donors, or members.
• Track record of holding firm decisions with demanding stakeholders.
• Independent ownership of an ambiguous relationship, community, or growth outcome.
• Willing to own school growth and admissions follow-through when campus phase requires it.
• Clear, concise communication with affluent, high-expectation families.
• Familiarity with independent, private, or non-traditional education.
• Hands-on daily use of AI tools and conviction about AI-powered education.

Responsibilities

• Lead the parent-facing partnership with Guides and own four outcomes: trust, retention, advocacy, and growth.
• Make real-time, on-the-spot decisions in ambiguous family situations with clear reasoning.
• Build campus community through traditions, parent networks, and local partnerships.
• Own growth contribution aligned with campus phase and managed admissions follow-through.
• Defend Alpha’s model to skeptical families and maintain strong relationships.
