Job summary

AMIkids Tampa is seeking an Operations Supervisor (Director of Operations) to lead youth and direct care staff, ensuring adherence to program operations policies and safety standards. The role involves supervising youth in a secure environment and assisting in day-to-day program management.

You will supervise staff, coordinate scheduling, oversee activities, and ensure appropriate youth-to-staff ratios while maintaining a positive, developmental environment for youth progress toward goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education or related field.
• Minimum one year supervisory experience.
• Preferred two years supervisory experience.
• Experience within educational or youth service programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise youth and staff in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate daily staffing and ensure coverage per ratio requirements.
• Oversee program activities and field trips with appropriate youth-to-staff ratio.
• Enforce safety and security policies; conduct searches for prohibited items.
• De-escalate youth incidents and notify leadership as needed.
• Implement AMIkids core program elements in all interactions with students.
• Ensure an environment that is safe physically and emotionally for youth.
