Job summary

Sound Income Strategies is seeking a Director of Operations to lead operational strategy for our RIA business in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Reporting to the COO, you will supervise the Operations team and drive scalable, advisor-focused processes across billing, data analytics, and technology ownership.

You will partner with Finance, Compliance, and IT to optimize workflows using Orion and Black Diamond platforms, while delivering accurate, data-driven insights to executives.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years leading business operations in a regulated environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional operations teams and driving performance.
• Partner with executives to execute strategic operational initiatives.
• Experience overseeing billing processes, quality assurance, audits, or transaction-based ops.
• Proven ability to analyze processes and implement scalable improvements.
• Experience leading enterprise projects or technology-driven process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary operational partner to the COO on strategic initiatives and growth.
• Lead and develop the Operations team, fostering accountability and a high-performance culture.
• Oversee daily ops activities including account servicing, billing oversight, and issue resolution.
• Own billing processes, audit client compensation reports, and ensure accuracy.
• Translate business requirements into scalable workflows and optimize platforms (RIA tech).
• Analyze large datasets to support executive decision-making and KPI reporting.
