Job summary

Elevate Jet, a FAA-certificated private aviation operator, seeks a Director of Operations in Plano, TX. You will maximize fleet operations for managed and charter aircraft under FAR Part 135/91, serving as the primary FAA contact and leading the flight, maintenance and client services teams.

Responsibilities include regulatory compliance, updating manuals/Spxs, and driving safety, training and business development. Travel up to 25% may be required; leadership track essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years as Director of Operations or Chief Pilot in a Part 135 operation
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot license and first class medical required
• Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business, or related field
• Must possess a valid US driver’s license and passport

Responsibilities

• Hold full authority and accountability for all duties of the Director of Operations under FAR Part 119
• Serve as main FAA contact for audits, inspections, and certificate matters
• Own regulatory compliance including pilot duty/rest and operational control
• Update the General Operations Manual (GOM) and FAA Operations Specifications
• Oversee safety and training for pilots, flight crew, and coordinators
• Coordinate with Maintenance to monitor fleet status and FAR compliance
• Perform flight duties as a Part 135 Pilot-in-Command for international ops when needed
• Partner with HR and Leadership to shape company strategy
