Job summary

Jet Aviation Staffing seeks a hands-on Chief Pilot to lead the corporate Part 91 flight department. You will provide operational oversight, mentor pilots, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with FAA and external partners to deliver safe, discreet, and efficient missions.

The role demands a seasoned, service-minded leader with extensive flight leadership experience, strong communication, and a focus on safety and efficiency in a private aviation environment.

Qualifications

• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with appropriate airplane category and class ratings.
• Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
• 10+ years of experience in a corporate or commercial aviation setting, including at least four years leading and supervising pilots.
• Minimum 5,000 hours total flight time, with substantial turbine and multi-engine experience.
• Demonstrated experience as Pilot in Command in corporate or business aviation; large-cabin or comparable aircraft experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for all flight activities conducted under FAR Part 91.
• Serve as Pilot in Command as required and maintain currency and proficiency on assigned aircraft.
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure flight operations are conducted in accordance with FAA regulations and SOPs.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve flight department policies, procedures, manuals, SOPs, and operating standards.
• Coordinate flight crew scheduling and staffing to ensure appropriate trip coverage and continuity of service.
• Oversee pilot training, recurrent training, checking, currency, medical certificates, and qualification records.
• Maintain flight department records and ensure documentation is current.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, development, and performance management of flight crew members.
