Job summary

Elevate Jet, based in Plano, TX, is seeking a Director of Operations to maximize fleet operations for managed and charter aircraft under FAR Part 135 and 91. You will serve as the primary FAA liaison and lead the Chief Pilot and flight crews as a unified command, ensuring safe, compliant operations alongside flight coordinators, client services, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate has strong FAA regulatory expertise, proven leadership in aviation operations, and the ability to implement policy

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years as Director of Operations or Chief Pilot in Part 135.
Valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot license and first-class medical.
Bachelor’s degree in aviation management or related field.
U.S. work authorization and passport.

Responsibilities

Hold full authority for Director of Operations under FAR Part 119.
Serve as the main point of contact with the FAA for audits and certificate matters.
Own regulatory compliance for operations including pilot duty/rest and OCS.
Update the General Operations Manual and FAA Operations Specifications.
Oversee safety and training for pilots, flight crew, and coordinators.
Coordinate with Maintenance to monitor fleet status and FAR compliance.
Perform as Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AOSC) when required.
Partner with client services, charter sales, and flight operations to grow business.
