Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Director of Operations in Sealy, TX for a permanent on-site role. You will oversee safe, efficient production and drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing plant.

The role partners with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to raise quality and productivity while ensuring environmental responsibility. Strong leadership and strategic thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing management experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety management practices and regulations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of continuous improvement concepts, including lean manufacturing and statistical process control.
• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering with a conceptual understanding of chemical/electrical engineering.
• Proven problem-solving, error-proofing, and process mapping skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Champion a strong safety culture across the organization.
• Develop and implement programs to improve quality, productivity, and customer service.
• Map production processes and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Apply problem-solving methods to resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality on capital planning and maintenance.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing and SPC.
• Ensure environmentally responsible plant operations and growth initiatives.
• Mentor and develop team members with transparency and accountability.
• Educate employees on continuous improvement as a core manufacturing value.
