Job summary

Ion Solar, a growing solar company, seeks a Director of Operations to oversee daily operations, drive process improvements, and scale the business across multiple departments. You will lead cross-functional teams, set strategic direction, and ensure high performance and accountability in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in leadership/operations, solar experience, and a strong track record of developing high-performing teams while maintaining standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership or operations management experience in a fast-paced or growth-focused environment.
• Ability to lead teams, improve processes, and manage organizational performance.
• Experience in solar is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support day-to-day operational activities across multiple teams and departments.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.
• Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership to support company initiatives, operational goals, and long-term planning.
• Create and maintain scalable processes, systems, and SOPs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop managers and team leaders through coaching and accountability.
• Ensure teams align with company standards, expectations, and compliance requirements.
• Assist in resource planning, workforce management, and operational forecasting.
• Foster a positive, solutions-oriented culture focused on teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Manage operational challenges with professionalism and strategic problem-solving.
