Job summary

Caritas Gala in New Jersey seeks a Director of Operations to oversee all DPD facilities, fleet, and maintenance across multiple sites. You will report to the Executive Director and manage daily operations to ensure safety and efficiency.

This exempt, full-time role requires a degree (Associates or Bachelors) and 3+ years in facilities/fleet management, plus a valid NJ driver’s license. The role emphasizes compliance, coordination with Catholic Charities and state agencies, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree and minimum three years’ experience in facility/fleet management.
• Working knowledge of tools and maintenance methods.
• Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, organize, and schedule repairs of all facilities and supervise staff.
• Oversee, organize, and schedule repairs of all agency vehicles in the fleet.
• Purchase new vehicles and ensure they are in good working order; replace when indicated.
• Obtain outside estimates for contractor/vendor work and ensure procurement procedures are followed.
