• Own plant P&L, cost-to-serve and working-capital targets.

Production & Capacity Management

• Plan, organize and run day-to-day operations to exceed customer commitments while optimizing labor, equipment and material utilization.

• Forecast mix/volume, set takt times and balance multi-shift resources for custom BIM-driven projects.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Sustain a zero-injury culture; ensure OSHA and relevant building-code compliance.

• Oversee ISO/QA systems, internal audits and corrective actions.

• Lead Kaizen events and Lean/Six-Sigma projects that boost OEE, reduce change-over and eliminate waste; track ROI with a robust KPI dashboard.

Supply Chain & Logistics

• Collaborate with Procurement on steel, sheathing, membranes and fasteners; drive vendor OTIF and inventory turns.

• Own trailer sequencing, shipping schedules and rolling look-aheads with Field Operations.

Technology & Innovation

• Champion digital-to-fabrication workflows, BIM/CAD automation and cold-roll-forming advancements; evaluate new robotics, welding and vision-inspection tech.

Talent & Culture

• Lead, coach and develop a diverse leadership team (production, maintenance, quality, CI, EHS); establish clear goals, feedback loops and succession plans.

Stakeholder Engagement

Qualifications

  • Education – Bachelor’s in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Operations Management, Construction Management or related field; MBA or master’s in Engineering a plus.
  • Experience – 10–15 years of progressive leadership in discrete manufacturing (building materials, steel fabrication, modular/panelized construction ideal); 5+ years at plant-manager or multi-site level with full P&L.
  • Technical – Demonstrated Lean/Six-Sigma deployment (Black Belt preferred); BIM or digital-fabrication familiarity; ERP/MRP & KPI dashboard proficiency; knowledge of structural standards and OSHA/EHS regulations.
  • Leadership & Soft Skills – Strategic thinker, data-driven decision-maker, excellent communicator, adept at change management and team-building across salaried and hourly populations.
