Job summary

MMG is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee day-to-day construction of convenience stores and gas stations across the Southeast. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.

This leadership role requires coordinating with project managers, field teams, owners, architects, and vendors, with a focus on process improvement and profitability.

Qualifications

This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage construction operations across multiple projects
• Oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and field operations
• Establish and maintain project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety expectations
• Coordinate with owners, architects, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve issues and keep projects moving.
• Develop and improve operational processes, systems, and best practices to support company growth
• Monitor project performance, costs, manpower, and overall profitability
• Identify operational risks and implement solutions before they impact project delivery
• Support business development and preconstruction efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably with ground-up convenience store, gas station, retail, or similar projects
• Proven leadership experience managing multiple projects and construction teams
• Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and project controls
