Job summary

Pivot Energy is seeking a Director of Operational Finance to bridge corporate FP&A and operations, owning the flow of cost insights and project metrics from development through asset management into planning and reporting.

You will establish financial governance across portfolios, drive cost controls, and translate operational realities into actionable financial insights for executives. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring influence across multiple functions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in FP&A, project controls, or operational finance.
• Experience in renewable energy or capital-intensive projects.
• Deep knowledge of project accounting, cost controls, and cost-to-complete methodologies.
• Experience with Procore, NetSuite, Sage; Power BI knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent; CPA a plus.
• Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between FP&A and development, EPC, asset management, and construction teams.
• Own operational financial planning and data integrity across portfolios.
• Establish governance, cost control standards, and financial metrics.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving on cost escalation and schedule delays.
• Partner with asset management on run-rate economics and budgets.
• Maintain data reconciliation across Procore, ERP, and accounting systems.
• Drive standardization and automation of cost accounting.
• Identify process improvements to reduce reporting cycle time.
• Build and maintain BI dashboards for real-time visibility.
• Deliver executive analysis and board/investor materials.
