Job summary

Waga Energy seeks a Director of Operations Control to lead budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and investment reviews across project sites. Reporting to US CFO, this hands-on finance leader drives profitability and financial discipline in a fast-growing energy transition business.

You will own capital investment governance, IFRS/GAAP compliance, KPIs and dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale operations while protecting assets and delivering strong EBITDA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• CPA, CMA, MBA or equivalent qualifications are a plus.
• 5–10 years of experience in finance, FP&A, controlling, or related function.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards.
• Experience with industrial, manufacturing, energy, or project-based operations.
• Proven ability to evaluate capital investments and ROI.
• Excellent financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gatekeeper for capital investment proposals with ROI analysis.
• Oversee project-site cost performance and revenue optimization.
• Ensure IFRS/GAAP compliant financial results and reporting.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to guide investments and decisions.
• Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly forecasting and annual plan.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and data models for performance management.
• Integrate new project sites into reporting, budgeting, and control.
• Drive working capital management with Supply Chain and Operations.
• Identify continuous improvements across sites and teams.
