Job summary

HarborHCS in Jasper, TX, is seeking a full-time Director of Nursing (DON). The DON will supervise nursing and clinical staff, lead IDT meetings, and ensure staff understand new policies and procedures.

The role oversees recruitment, retention, and training of nurses and related staff, and provides direction for all patient care services. Requirements include Texas RN licensure, 1+ year of RN with management experience, and a BSN (or 5 years of equivalent management).

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the State of Texas is required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience with management responsibility.
• BSN degree or five years of equivalent management experience required.
• Experience with Hospice or home health is preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Clean background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and clinical personnel.
• Facilitate IDT (interdisciplinary team) meetings.
• Inform staff of new policies and procedures.
• Recruit, retain, and train nurses and other clinical staff.
