Responsibilities

The Hospice Branch Director is a Registered Nurse managing all aspects of terminal care, with expertise in pain and symptom management, and prior hospice nursing experience. They supervise staff, oversee documentation, coordinate services, and case management. Excellent communication skills and a supportive, sensitive approach are essential.

The Director supervises daily operations, plans and coordinates interdisciplinary interventions, assigns staff, and may act as a staff nurse. They also participate in community education programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing school; licensed RN in the state of employment
• At least two years of recent nursing experience and one year in hospice
• Understanding of hospice laws and regulations
• Computer proficiency
