Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a Masters degree in Nursing or related field required.
• Holds at least one of the following in Nursing: Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree.
• Current Texas RN license or valid permit to practice nursing in Texas.
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
• Applicable professional certification in administration to be completed within two years if not held at appointment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational, human resources, quality, and financial management of assigned nursing unit(s).
• Translate pavilion and department strategic plans into unit plans and supervise implementation.
• Ensure Nursing Professional Practice Model (NPPM) is implemented and outcomes achieved.
• Mentor staff, promote professional practice, and participate in nursing organizations and research.
