Job summary

Brookstone Estates of Harrisburg is seeking a Nurse Manager (DON) to lead the clinical team and oversee resident care in a supportive community setting. You will conduct assessments, develop individualized care plans, promote wellness, and ensure regulatory compliance while mentoring staff and maintaining compassionate, high-quality services for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability; ready to mentor, motivate and inspire team members.
• Current state nursing licensure required; LPN license required, RN preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial assessment of prospective residents, including off-site visits.
• Performs wellness assessments and develops individualized care plans.
• Delivers health promotion services and disease prevention counseling.
• Approximately 20% of hours will be hands-on nursing and direct care.
• Engages with residents and families with compassion to create positive experiences.
• Fosters communication with physicians, healthcare providers, and family members.
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the clinical team to provide exceptional care.
• Coordinates infection control program and ensures state regulatory compliance.
• Develops and oversees the community's medication management program.
• Contributes to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensures confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
