Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and shape the care experience for residents with compassion and clinical excellence. You will guide staff development and ensure high standards of patient care.

You will oversee compliance with regulations, manage recruitment and payroll support, and collaborate with physicians to create individualized care plans, while keeping accurate records and ensuring timely access to supplies.

Qualifications

• Holds a current RN license in good standing with the State of Texas.
• Leadership experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
• Strong clinical skills and a restorative care approach.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.
• Excels in organization, communication, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all nursing services in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines.
• Lead the Team: Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of nursing staff.
• Support Direct Care: Step in to assist on the floor when needed to maintain high-quality care.
• Review Payroll: Approve payroll submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain Records: Monitor resident records for accuracy and appropriate documentation.
• Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.
• Provide Resources: Ensure nursing staff have timely access to equipment and necessary supplies.
• Coach and Mentor: Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to improve performance and outcomes.
