Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group in Thermopolis, Wyoming seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) for a Skilled Nursing Facility to lead the clinical team and drive quality patient care. This role includes relocation assistance and a strong growth-oriented environment.

The DON will oversee care planning, compliance with regulations, staff development, and performance management while partnering with a supportive leadership team. A Wyoming RN license and nursing leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

Must hold Wyoming RN license.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Certifications in Rehab Nursing, geriatrics, or psychiatric nursing preferred.
Minimum two years’ experience as a nursing services supervisor in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains a nursing service philosophy, objectives, standards of practice, policy and process manuals.
Establishes systems for care planning, including assessments, plan of treatment, objectives and goals, evaluations and discharge planning.
Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, coaching, and conducting performance appraisals.
Demonstrates understanding of certification laws, survey requirements and Medicare program.
Ensures reporting departments meet state and federal requirements for licensure and coordinates a quality assurance program for nursing services.
Directs the ED functions in the DON's absence.
