Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Wellness in Thermopolis, WY seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team and uphold care quality. This role requires an active Wyoming RN license and strong leadership in long-term care settings. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

The DON will shape nursing practice, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee staff development while collaborating with administration to enhance resident care and outcomes.

Formación

• Current Wyoming Registered Nursing license (required).
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Preferred certification in rehab nursing, geriatrics, or psychiatric nursing.
• Preferred minimum two years' experience as nursing services supervisor in long-term care.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and maintains a nursing service philosophy, objectives, standards of practice, policy and process manuals.
• Establishes systems for care planning, including assessments, plan of treatment, objectives and goals, evaluations and discharge planning.
• Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, coaching, and conducting performance appraisals.
• Demonstrates understanding of certification laws, survey requirements and Medicare program.
• Ensures reporting departments meet state and federal requirements for licensure; coordinates quality assurance program.
• Directs the functions and activities of the ED in the DON's absence.
