Job summary

Campbell Street in Norwalk, IA, is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and manage the nursing department and ensure the highest quality care for residents. The DON interprets nursing policies in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services to support nursing and delegated medical care, while aligning with the Residents’ Bill of Rights and the QAPI program.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in the state where the facility is located.
• Current CPR certification and emergency care training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hiring, termination, and development of nursing staff.
• Monitor staff performance and conduct evaluations.
• Ensure staffing levels and adjust staff rotations to meet care demands.
• Develop nursing service objectives, policies and procedures and direct their implementation.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines and revisions as needed.
