Job summary

Arcadia Care in Jacksonville, IL is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to plan, organize, develop, and direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards to ensure the highest quality of care.

The DON will coordinate nursing services with other resident services, perform administrative duties, and ensure adequate staffing and safety equipment for each shift to maintain quality care.

Qualifications

• Must have a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must have a current Illinois RN license (unencumbered).
• 3 years of experience in a supervisor healthcare role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing department in accordance with rules, regulations, and guidelines for the long-term care facility.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charting.
