Job summary

Arcadia Care in Illinois seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing daily nursing operations, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local standards to maintain high-quality care.

The ADON will supervise nursing staff, coordinate with resident services, handle administrative tasks, and ensure appropriate staffing, meds, and safety equipment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN program with a pharmacology course.
• Must possess a current Illinois unencumbered license to practice as a RN or LPN.
• 2 years of experience in a supervisor healthcare role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of residents’ total regimen of care.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Ensure enough licensed staff, medications, and safety equipment are available for each shift to maintain quality care.
