Job summary

Ascension in Austin, Seton facility, is hiring an experienced RN Nursing Manager to lead Critical Care and Telemetry. You will oversee staffing, care plans, compliance, and budget management, directing both clinical and administrative activities.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas RN license, a Bachelor's in Nursing, with 5 years of experience including 2 years in leadership; Master's degree is preferred. Eligible for annual bonus; comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

  • Texas Board of Nursing-licensed Registered Nurse required.
  • BLS Provider credential from American Heart Association preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop departmental goals and objectives aligned with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements.
  • Direct clinical activities including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits and complaint management.
  • Plan, organize and direct staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets; ensure nursing area operates within allocated funds.
  • Coordinate and direct internal and externally-driven audits.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 10 years of experience preferred.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required.
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
What additional preferences we're seeking
  • Critical Care background strongly preferred
