Wellpath in Vermont seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing services at the VT DOC Southern SSCF. The DON will develop and implement nursing policies and collaborate with the Medical Director to maintain high standards of care for patients in a correctional setting.

Qualifications include an RN license in the state, CPR certification, and at least 2 years of supervisory experience in an acute setting; prior ER or infectious disease experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• CPR certification required.

• Oversees daily operations and manages budgets, policies, and procedures to align with facility goals and objectives.
• Organizes service delivery, manages resources, and collaborates with departments, patients, families, and visitors.
• Leads quality improvement activities and provides supervision to nursing staff.
• Monitors safety, evaluates service delivery and staff growth, and enforces the Code of Conduct.
• Demonstrates knowledge of clinical precautions, infection control, fall prevention, and related procedures.
