Job summary
CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all nursing services within the medical unit of a correctional facility. The DON will advise senior management, collaborate with medical staff, and foster excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement among nursing personnel.
The role requires an BSN, an active RN license, and at least 8 years of professional nursing experience including leadership.
Qualifications
- BSN required and RN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 8 years nursing experience with leadership or supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff performance to meet staffing and development needs.
- Develop and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with medical staff and senior management to execute strategic plans for the medical unit.
- Develop educational programs and provide training to nursing staff and stakeholders.
- Participate in organizational meetings to align nursing services with objectives and ensure regulatory compliance.
