Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) for a 100+ bed skilled nursing facility in Connecticut. You will lead a mission-driven clinical team, focus on quality outcomes, and drive resident-centered care in a growing nonprofit setting.

The role requires an active RN license in CT or reciprocal state, and 2+ years of nursing leadership experience. You will manage staffing, performance, and regulatory readiness, while partnering with leadership to foster a collaborative culture and

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Connecticut or reciprocal state.
• 2+ years of nursing leadership experience (DON, ADON, or similar).
• DON experience in Skilled Nursing/LTC required.
• Strong regulatory knowledge of long-term care regulations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all nursing operations in a 100+ bed skilled nursing facility.
• Coach, develop, and retain a high-performing nursing team.
• Maintain survey readiness and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations.
• Drive quality initiatives, patient safety, and best-practice clinical standards.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality initiatives.
• Manage staffing, recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Partner with community leadership to support staffing, operations, and culture.
• Foster a positive, patient-centered care culture.
