Complete Care at Middlebury in Middlebury, CT is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our 58-bed CMS 5-Star skilled nursing facility. This is a strategic clinical leadership role focused on quality care, staff development, and resident-centered outcomes.

As DON, you will oversee all clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor the nursing team, and partner with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to drive improvements and survey readiness.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut.
• Previous Director of Nursing experience in skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey process.
• Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Demonstrated success in improving clinical quality and staff engagement.
• Passion for delivering exceptional resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all nursing services and clinical operations.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain survey readiness and promote continuous quality improvement.
• Recruit, mentor, coach, and retain high-performing nursing staff.
