Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Department in Maitland, Florida. This executive role oversees nursing operations, quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

The DON will guide policy implementation, participate in QA activities, support surveys, and drive performance through daily rounds and strong communication with residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.
• Proficiency in PointClickCare (PCC).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for all daily Nursing Department operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Develop, implement, and routinely update nursing policies and procedures.
• Participate in the facility’s Quality Assurance Program to uphold standards of care.
• Assist with regulatory surveys and inspections.
• Conduct daily rounds to monitor staff performance, resident care, and adherence to facility standards.
• Address and resolve concerns or grievances from residents, families, and nursing staff.

• Participate actively in the facility’s Quality Assurance Program to uphold exceptional standards of resident care.

• Assist with regulatory surveys and inspections.

• Conduct daily rounds to monitor staff performance, resident care, and adherence to facility standards.

• Address and resolve concerns or grievances from residents, families, and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.

• Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision‑making abilities.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Proficiency in PointClickCare (PCC)
