Job summary

Sandgate Gardens Rehab and Nursing Center in Florida is seeking a seasoned Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team, ensure resident-centered care, and drive clinical outcomes. This role oversees nursing operations, staff development, and regulatory compliance, while working with the interdisciplinary team to improve quality and maintain a compassionate culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Current RN licensure is required.
• Minimum of 2 years leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Participation in the on-call schedule is required.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Strong knowledge of nursing regulations, compliance, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing budgets and departmental operations.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and healthcare technology.
