Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Orlando is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) in Orlando, FL. This full-time leadership role directs the Nursing Department, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care.

Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 annually, based on experience. The DON will provide strategic oversight, develop policies, mentor staff, and lead QA initiatives to uphold care standards in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license is required.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive nursing leadership in Long-Term Care.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop clinical teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight of daily Nursing Department operations.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead Quality Assurance initiatives to maintain the highest standards of resident care.
• Prepare for and participate in facility surveys and regulatory inspections.
• Conduct regular rounds to assess performance, resident well-being, and compliance.
• Mentor, coach, and empower nursing staff to achieve professional and organizational goals.
