Excelsior Care Group seeks an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) at Rehabilitation Center of Orlando in Orlando, FL. The DON will provide strategic leadership for the Nursing Department, ensuring clinical excellence and regulatory compliance in a resident-centered setting.

The role requires Florida RN licensure and 3+ years of progressive nursing leadership in long-term care, with a focus on mentoring teams, quality initiatives, and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license required.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive nursing leadership in Long-Term Care.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop clinical teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight of daily Nursing Department operations.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead Quality Assurance initiatives to maintain high standards of resident care.
• Prepare for and participate in facility surveys and regulatory inspections.
• Conduct regular rounds to assess performance, resident well-being, and compliance.
• Mentor, coach, and empower nursing staff to achieve professional and organizational goals.
