Job summary

AdviniaCare Newton-Wellesley in Wellesley, MA is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing Services to lead our nursing department and guide a dedicated team of nurses and caregivers. You will ensure residents receive the highest quality of care and collaborate with other departments to maintain continuity of care.

As DNS, you’ll oversee staffing, policy implementation, survey readiness, and ongoing staff development while upholding regulatory standards and resident safety.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Registered Nurse license (active, in good standing).
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct all nursing department operations in line with federal, MA and local regulations.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to keep the department efficient.
• Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure continuity of care.
• Lead survey readiness and participate in facility surveys; develop corrective action plans as needed.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure orders are followed.
• Coordinate continuing education and in-service training for nursing staff.
• Provide direct nursing care when needed.
• Protect the confidentiality of all resident care information.

AdviniaCare Newton-Wellesley, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Wellesley, MA, is seeking an experienced, compassionate Director of Nursing Services to join our leadership team. In this role, you’ll lead our nursing department, guide a dedicated team of nurses and caregivers, and ensure every resident receives the highest quality of care.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, organize and direct all nursing department operations in line with federal, Massachusetts and local regulations
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that keep the department running efficiently
• Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure continuity of care

• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure orders are followed accurately
• Coordinate continuing education and in-service training for nursing staff
• Provide direct nursing care when needed

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Nurse with a current, unencumbered Massachusetts license
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
• Current CPR certification
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, clinical procedures and long-term care regulations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a leadership team

Physical demands

• Move throughout the building during the workday
• Push, pull, move and lift at least 25 lbs.
• Manage the mental and emotional demands of a healthcare leadership role

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, with on-call and flexibility as needed
