AdviniaCare Newton-Wellesley, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Wellesley, MA, is seeking an experienced, compassionate Director of Nursing Services to join our leadership team. In this role, you’ll lead our nursing department, guide a dedicated team of nurses and caregivers, and ensure every resident receives the highest quality of care.

You’ll plan and direct nursing operations, develop policies, coordinate with other departments, lead survey readiness, monitor medication

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a Massachusetts license and CPR certification.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, clinical procedures and regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a leadership team.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize and direct all nursing department operations in line with federal, Massachusetts and local regulations
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that keep the department running efficiently
• Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure continuity of care
• Lead survey readiness, participate in facility surveys and develop plans of correction as needed
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure orders are followed accurately
• Coordinate continuing education and in-service training for nursing staff
• Provide direct nursing care when needed
• Protect the confidentiality of all resident care information

What we’re looking for

• Registered Nurse with a current, unencumbered Massachusetts license
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
• Current CPR certification
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, clinical procedures and long-term care regulations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a leadership team

Physical demands

• Move throughout the building during the workday
• Push, pull, move and lift at least 25 lbs.
• Manage the mental and emotional demands of a healthcare leadership role

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, with on-call and flexibility as needed
