Essential Functions

• Plans, directs, and supervises the activities of the nursing staff.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Develops, implements, and updates department policies and procedures.
• Provides consistent and sufficient staffing for resident needs and regulatory requirements.
• Trains and educates staff members.
• Supervisory responsibilities include direct supervision of R.N.s, L.P.N.s, Certified Nurse Aides, and other personnel.

Education, Licensure, and Experience

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Experience as a DON is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Nursing, or related field preferred.
• 3 years R.N. experience preferred.
