The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees nursing staff and activities, ensuring departmental goals are met efficiently. Responsible for administrative decisions based on long-term care policies and nursing standards, ensuring compliance and promoting optimal healthcare delivery. Key responsibilities include hiring, staff assignment, staff evaluation, departmental meetings, coordination of nursing activities, fostering relationships, staff development, quality improvement, budgeting, and infection control.
Develop and oversee infection prevention and control programs, ensure compliance with health standards, participate in quality assurance initiatives, and collaborate with other departments to maintain a safe environment.
Pay range: $81,681 - $136,136 annually
