Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

We are looking for a charismatic individual to join our team as the new Director of Nursing (DON) at Prestige Care Center of Morrison in Morrison, Colorado. The right person must be passionate about the quality of care their residents receive and about fostering growth among staff by creating an empowered environment. The primary responsibility is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the Nursing Department's operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, in collaboration with the Administrator and Medical Director, to maintain the highest quality of care.

Director of Nursing Duties:
  1. Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate management staff.
  2. Verify clinical compliance through rounds and spot checks of residents' conditions.
  3. Coordinate clinical services to uphold standard interventions of resident care.
  4. Address quality of service issues with corrective actions.
  5. Investigate complaints and concerns as needed.
  6. Review and ensure proper documentation for clinical compliance.
  7. Supervise all nursing activities within the department.
  8. Implement coaching and disciplinary actions as per policy.
  9. Evaluate the performance, skills, and job knowledge of nursing staff.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  11. Collaborate with department managers to develop and evaluate competencies required for resident care.
  12. Schedule and communicate training sessions, ensuring minimal disruption to resident care.
  13. Maintain accountability for all nursing activities, including training records, reports, and instructional materials.
  14. Support staff in obtaining continuing education credits and maintain related documentation.
  15. Keep attendance and training records in accordance with facility policies.
Qualifications:
  • Colorado RN license is required.
  • At least 1 year of DON experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF).
