Job summary

Excelsior Care Group seeks aDirector of Nursing (DON) for the Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park in Maitland, FL. This full-time leadership role oversees the Nursing Department, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives quality resident care.

The DON will lead policy development, support staff development, and participate in QA activities while maintaining PCC proficiency. RN license in Florida and LTC leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license in Florida is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing leadership in LTC.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all Nursing Department operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and update nursing policies and procedures.
• Participate in Quality Assurance to maintain high resident care standards.
• Assist with regulatory surveys and inspections.
• Conduct daily rounds to monitor staff performance and resident care.
• Address concerns from residents, families, and staff.

About the Role

Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Department. This vital leadership role is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and the professional development of our nursing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for all daily Nursing Department operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.

• Develop, implement, and routinely update nursing policies and procedures.

• Participate actively in the facility’s Quality Assurance Program to uphold exceptional standards of resident care.

• Assist with regulatory surveys and inspections.

• Conduct daily rounds to monitor staff performance, resident care, and adherence to facility standards.

• Address and resolve concerns or grievances from residents, families, and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.

• Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Proficiency in PointClickCare (PCC)
