Job summary

Cortland Healthcare Center in Cortland, OH seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Service Department in a skilled nursing facility. You will organize, develop, and direct operations in compliance with federal, state, and local standards, collaborating with the Administrator and Medical Director to ensure resident care quality.

The role requires an active RN license in Ohio, CPR/BLS, and at least two years of supervisory experience in a nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active RN license in Ohio.
• Must have CPR or BLS certification.
• Minimum two years in a supervisory role in a nursing or healthcare setting, preferably long-term care.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate EHR and other software.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Nursing Service Department in accordance with standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with Administrator and Medical Director to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Oversee staffing, policy adherence, and quality improvement initiatives.

Position Summary:

As the Director of Nursing in a SNF setting it is your responsibility to organize, develop, manage, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. The Director of Nursing is to work directly with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualification:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work.

• Must possess a current CPR or BLS certification.

• Must have a minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a nursing community or other related healthcare community, preferably in long term care.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
