Job summary

Terrace Health and Rehab (2) is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) in a skilled nursing facility to lead the Nursing Service Department and ensure high-quality resident care. You will work closely with the Administrator and Medical Director to align policies with federal and state standards, while fostering a supportive, home-like environment.

Applicants must hold an active RN license in the state, CPR/BLS, and have at least two years of supervisory experience in a nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license in the state where you work.
• Current CPR or BLS certification is required.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a nursing setting (preferably long-term care).
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, manage, and direct the Nursing Service Department’s overall operations.
• Collaborate with the Administrator and Medical Director to ensure the highest quality of care for each resident.
• Maintain health, sanitary and infection control policies and standards of practice.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff to support professional development.

Position Summary:

As the Director of Nursing in a SNF setting it is your responsibility to organize, develop, manage, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. The Director of Nursing is to work directly with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualification:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work.

• Must possess a current CPR or BLS certification.

• Must have a minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a nursing community or other related healthcare community, preferably in long term care.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
