Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in state.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience supervising nursing staff, preferably in correctional healthcare.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to pass Level 2 background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and oversee nursing and support staff.
• Plan, implement and evaluate nursing services and admin operations.
• Maintain patient care protocols meeting policies and regulations.
• Establish quality improvement, safety, and infection control programs.
• Review formulary adherence in pharmacy utilization.
• Develop organizational goals, strategic plans, policies, and procedures.
• Design staffing and oversee recruitment, training, supervision.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and oversee the administration of all associated nursing and support staff.
• Plan, implement and evaluate all nursing services to include associated administrative operations and activities.
• Review, establish and maintain patient care protocol and standards, ensuring that all federal and state, Armor, and facility policies, regulations, and guidelines for patient care are met.
• Establish and coordinate quality improvement, safety, and infection control programs
• Review pharmacy utilization to ensure adherence to the formulary.
• Establish and implement short and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures
• Design, establish and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization's goals and objectives, recruits, employs, trains, supervises, and evaluates professional and contract staff.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered state license as an RN
• Bachelors in Nursing preferred
• Previous nursing supervisory experience, preferably in a correctional healthcare setting
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
