Job summary

Altera Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead our clinical team in Fairhope, Alabama. This role focuses on clinical excellence, staff development, regulatory compliance, and resident-centered care.

The DON will mentor nursing leadership, oversee operations, ensure CMS compliance, and collaborate with the administrator and interdisciplinary team to create a supportive and high-performing workplace.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Previous Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or senior nursing leadership experience.
• Skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and clinical compliance standards.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain successful nursing teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on leadership style with a commitment to teamwork and resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do
