Job summary

Cherry Hill Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Birmingham, AL seeks a Director of Nursing Services (DON) to plan, organize, and direct Nursing Services to ensure top-quality care for long-term and short-term post-acute patients. The DON will oversee clinical staff and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

Requirements include an Alabama RN license, prior nurse management experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Alabama.
• Must have Nurse Management experience.
• Must have previous experience in a hospital, long-term facility or other healthcare related facility.
• Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices and laws governing long-term care.
• Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

You must have the ability to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility and as may be directed by the Administrator to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. You must have clinical skills capable of providing skilled care to both long-term and short-term post-acute patients.
