Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group is seeking a Director of Nursing (DNS) for Cascade Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care in Milton-Freewater, Oregon.

In this leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day resident care operations, uphold high standards of excellence, and guide nursing staff to deliver compassionate, compliant care. A current Oregon RN license is required; a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and geriatric/rehabilitation certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nursing license in Oregon is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a nursing service philosophy, objectives, standards of practice, policy and process manuals.
• Establishes systems for care planning, including assessments, plan of treatment, objectives and goals, evaluations and discharge planning.
• Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, coaching, and conducting performance appraisals
• Demonstrates an understanding and knowledge of certification laws and requirements, survey requirements and Medicare program.
• Validates that reporting departments consistently meet state and federal requirements for long-term care facilities for licensure. Validates existence of a quality assurance program for nursing services and coordinates interdisciplinary quality assurance program.
• Directs the functions and activities of the ED in his/her absence.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

• Required: Current Registered Nursing license in Oregon.

• Preferred: Certification in Rehab Nursing, geriatrics, or psychiatric nursing
• Preferred: Minimum two years' experience as a nursing services supervisor in a long-term care.
